My Big Backyard

We ventured out to My Big Backyard today with my friend Katie and her little boy. Katie and I use to teach together way back when...and her little boy and E our only 2 weeks apart. They are in town visiting family (and friends) so we got to hang out for a little while!
We got there a fun minutes before My Big Backyard opened so we headed to the pond to feed the fish. It was well worth the buck to buy the fish food. Not only did C and E have a blast, it was pretty cool seeing the fish pile up on each other trying to get the food. These fish was so aggressive that they were slashing water up on the kiddos!

Then we headed over to My Big Backyard. We have never actually been before today. Last summer was the first year it was opened and E was too little to actually play (not walking yet). Many of our friends told us how much fun it was, so today we gave it a try and it was a blast! There was so much to do. We will definitely be back! The first part that we did was called the Seedling Circle. E and C played in the sand tires, play house and fountain.

Then we headed to check out some more and landed at the Raindrop Stop. When you start to hear thunder get out of the way, because there will be a down pour soon to follow. E wasn't a huge fan of water falling on her, but she enjoyed it. Then there was snack time, hugs, and a lot more fun! Thanks Katie and C for such a fun day. Come back and visit soon!
