One and a half!

February
Food: the last few days of Feb. you haven’t wanted to eat; I think you are getting some more teeth

Saying Well, it sounds like you say a certain cuss word a lot. You are asking (well it sounds like she is) a lot of questions. Dog, off, out, mama, dada

Doing: Fish kisses, first steps March 1st!!!! Hugs, throwing fits – you will fling your head back and scream when you get her way, loving to read
Favorite Foods Not so much this month you ate a lot of fruit I think your gums were bothering her a lot.

March -
Doing; Walking! Telling Tucker No!, No!, No! all the time, eating with a fork (sometimes, I have to put the food on it), still crawling when you get really excited to get somewhere,
Saying; Fish (well, her version), NO, yes,
Favorite Foods: lasagna...sometimes you eat a bigger portion than me! Mac and cheese (not the kind with shells), spaghetti, fruit (all kinds)
Favorite Toys: Little People farm and dollhouse, books, sunglasses
Favorite things to do: Bath time (except the washing off part), reading books, standing at the window to watch Dad come home, riding in your pink car, climbing the stairs
This month you have had a hard time with coughing during the night. Unfortunately, I think that the Memphis weather isn't going to agree with you.; Welcome to the club, Weezy!; You love to cuddle up on my chest when you don't feel good.; You suck your thumb when you are getting a new tooth. You hugged me and said I love you!

April –
This month has flown by!
Food: You have been particularly picky about what you want to eat this month. Could it be that you are getting all four first year molars at once + another tooth??? Your favorite is still spaghetti and fruit of any kind. ...and Chick-Fil-A (you love this place!) Chicken is always a favorite, when I couldn't get you to get your mac and cheese one day I told you it was chicken maccarroni and you ate it!
Saying: You are asking questions (most of the time we can’t understand them) and answering questions when we ask you. Most of the time your answer is yes, with a head nod. Sometimes you say no, but still nod your head yes. yellow, open, purple, one, two, three, ball, bubbles, cracker (and you know exactly what the Cheddar Bunny box looks like too!)bow, you can do the hand motions when we sing Itsy Bitsy, Spider, BB, yes, tickle, tickle, tickle (as you are attempting to tickle someone)
Doing/Loves: you will lay down to when we ask you if you need your diaper changed (only if you want your diaper changed, other wise it is quite a struggle sometimes), we ask if you want to go night, night and you will lay on the ground and pat yourself on the back (I guess they do that for you at school?) walking a little more each day, on Easter morning you really became brave and started letting go more and walking further without finding something to grab onto, you love to read (and crawl up in our laps while we read to you), you have really started to notice the TV. more these days (sometimes we let you watch a Sesame Street), hitting Tucker (you have seen me do this when he has gotten too excited around you, probably not such a good thing) and shooing him away, playing in the dirt – we take you out to the garden and you are happy to sit there and dig in the dirt (but not get dirty), bows – you are a girly girl – you have to have a bow (or headband) in your hair, and if it comes out you want it put right back in, blowing bubbles, going to the park – not so much to slide (even though the concept is growing on you), but to climb up and down the stairs, you are a social butterfly – when we get to school in the mornings you wave at all the cars in carpool driving by, you love to come by and visit me in my classroom and see all the boys
Favorite toys: ball, pink car, books, little people, play fridge, farm magnets, bubbles, play-doh
In the middle of the month, you got a double ear infection and have been having some tummy trouble too! The last few days before turning 18 months have brought so much exciting change in your life. You are becoming so verbal, you can follow directions, and walk EVERYWHERE! without help. That happened on April 30. We can officially say you are no longer a crawler. I'll have to admit, it is a little sad for me. It isn't so much because now you are all over the place, or that I am going to have my eyes on you like a hawk from now on...it's that you are growing up SO fast. This is just one more step to you not being a baby (even though you'll always be my baby). I almost teared up on Saturday (the 30th) when we were outside walking, you hand a tight grip on my finger and I asked you if you wanted to walk by yourself and you said "yeshh" and you let go and off you went. I am so proud you!
We watched part of the royal wedding (William and Cate) together on the 29th. We even waited to see their first kiss before leaving for school. As we sat in the chair together they walked out on the balcony, the crowd was clapping and cheering and you started to clap with them. Then they kissed and you looked up at me and gave me a kiss. It was so sweet!
Stats: Height - 31 inches, Weight - 24.6 pounds, Head Circ: 49 cm.
