Crayons

We love all things art around our house...painting and coloring with crayons. E is at the age where she can color on her own for short periods of time. She loves it! Why do I say, short periods of time??? Well, on the eve of her 2nd birthday she was color semi on her own. She was by the fireplace and I was folding clothes across the room. She calls out "Mommy, my nose." I ignore it, because I just figure that she marked it up or something like that. But then she says it again, "Mommy, my nose!" And this time she runs over holding her nose. Upon further investigation, I find that she has stuck the point of a crayon up her nose! Ryan is outside moving the yard...in the dark...trying to get ready for her party. I run to get him, because I can't hold her and try to get it out! Thankfully, he was able to get it. All that to say, she doesn't get left alone now while coloring : )
