Friday after school we headed out to Germantown to see my good friend Katie and her two boys. Katie lives way too far away...she flew in from Washington state and it was so fun to see our kiddos playing together.
Later that night some of the chickens thought that they needed to come inside. I don't think so!

Fun Saturday morning on the IPad...

Then E and I went to lunch with two boys from my class. They won the lunch in our school auction. 4H club - Huey's Hamburgers, Mrs. Hays and Little H. It was a blast! I really do love my job!
During nap time Baxter and Charlie brought three new hens over to Holiday Hen. We had sent four of our roosters packing on Wednesday and the guy said he really should have taken 7. That would have left us 3. What are the odds??? Out of 10 chickens over half were roosters. So, knowing that this next week 3 more roosters are going away Baxter was kind enough to bring over three new chickens that are beautiful! Plus he KNOWS that they are hens. They have already laid eggs at his house! Yay! He said that in a few days we should have our first egg!
Then after nap time we headed to My Big Backyard with Katie and Kathryn. The kiddos had a blast!

I dropped E off at home and needed to run to the store....she didn't want me to go.

When we went to check on the chickens Sunday morning this is what we found...

Please ignore the two dummy eggs. You have to teach hens where to Kay their eggs.
The rest of Sunday was spent in the water. We really do have a water baby!
