They are living inside the house right now, in Tucker's old crate. As soon as it gets a tad bit warmer and Ryan gets the coop built they are headed outside. We will know sometime in the upcoming weeks which chickens are hens and which are roosters. Hopeful, Pink will be a hen and we won't have to tell E that Pink has to go to the country.
E loves the chicks. She wants to see them first thing in the morning and say good night to them every night. As much as she loves them she doesn't want to hold them or pet them.
Tucker however does.not.like.them. He paces around their cage whinnying and sniffing at them. I'm not quite sure how it is going to work out once they have to share a backyard.
Stay tuned...hopefully we will have fresh eggs come summer time!
