First Cut

I may be a little biased, but I think that E has some of the cutest curls around. I have been a little very hesitant for her to go for her first hair cut. It isn't like her hair is long. However, because of the curls it gets very tangled and messy at times. My stylist, Amy, and I have discussed it on numerous occasions on when would be a good time. Ryan and I have also talked about it too. If it had been left up to Ryan alone, E would have gotten her hair cute over 6 months ago. So, we compromised. Amy had said not to come in until we were ready to see those curls go away (she said this because she actually had a client blame her when her child's curls didn't come back). Well, that was going to be NEVER! Ryan and Amy both said that when the hair became mullet looking it was time for a cut. My breaking point was the nest that her hair was becoming on an almost daily basis. Plus, I have heard that getting it cut might make her hair thicken up. So...I went to get my hair cut on the Tuesday, before school starts. I told Amy, that it was time. I decided to make an appointment for E. The girl at the desk said what about tomorrow...What??? That's too soon. Tonight might be my last night to brush those beautiful curls. You better make it Thursday I said. Ha! An extra day. In that extra day however I was able to cut a curly lock of E's hair.
Ryan was able to go with us and took some great pictures. E ran straight into Amy arms. She didn't cry on bit! I mean, who would if they were sitting in momma's arms while watching something on the I Pad. I think every stylist should follow Amy and have an I Pad handy.
Oh, and in case you were wondering??? Her curls stayed!

Ryan was able to go with us, on Thursday, August18. E walked in. Hugged Amy. And let her carry her. This is not something that she lets just anyone do. E didn't want to sit in the chair by herself, so she sat in my lap. No tears. She loved it. She loves to have her hair played with. Oh, and the IPad that Amy let her play with was pretty fun too. Amy didn't cut very much, but it looks so much better!
